Hear the inside story of Bill Walton, one of Ernest Hemingway's closest friends and a journalist and painter. Walton was a close confidant of President John F. Kennedy, and chaired the U.S. Commission on Fine Arts while conducting secret diplomatic missions for the US in the Soviet Union.
Author Mary Hackett reads from her new book Bill Walton: A Charmed Life at the Oak Park Art League, itself home to many of Hemingway's family paintings.
Books will be sold for signing at the event.
